OUR STORY
Welcome to Blake’s Pony Farm! Founder Alex Blake developed a passion for horses and horseback riding early. She was fortunate to grow up on a small family farm, and spent her childhood taking riding lessons and taking care of her own horses. She was a member of the United States Pony Club for over a decade and tested through the "B" rating. Her focus in the early years was in the sport of Eventing, competing with great success. As an adult, that passion became a career. She got a job teaching horseback riding at a local therapeutic farm, and a new mission was born. In 2016, Alex became certified to teach beginner-intermediate recreational riding as well as horsemanship through the American Riding Instructors Association, and she established Alex Blake Equine Instruction. When she and her husband, John, bought their own family farm in New Hampshire in 2018, Alex Blake Equine Instruction found a new home at Blake’s Pony Farm. This quaint backyard barn is home to a senior pony and horse, living out their best days by helping Alex fulfill her dream of sharing the magic and peacefulness of horseback riding with local students. Blake's Pony Farm offers private horseback riding lessons to children and adults!

Clover is a 26-year-old Welsh pony. She has been around the block a few times from jumping in the show ring, to beginner-intermediate lessons. Bindi has a wonderfully calm and sweet personality. She is an all-around good citizen!
Bindi is best for riders under 150lbs.
Jazzy

Jazzy is a 20-year-old American Quarter Horse. She is a seasoned trail horse and suitable for most recreational activities. She is currently being boarded with us and will be in our lesson program starting in the Spring of 2026. We are thrilled this special girl has found her way here!
Jazzy is best for riders under 200lbs.

Winnie is an 8-year-old Shetland pony. She is new to lessons and eager to learn from her enthusiastic students. She enjoys having her mane braided and being doted on. Perfect size for students to practice many groundwork skills with as well riding for our littles. She is being boarded with us and a welcomed member of our lesson program.
Winnie is best for riders under 60lbs.

Bodhi is an 8-year-old, mixed breed horse. He is new to lessons and eager to learn from his enthusiastic students. Bodhi is sweet natured, easy to build skills with and ready for adventures! He is being boarded with us and a welcomed member of our lesson program.
Bodhi is best suited for riders under 180lbs.
